Six months ago renters moved in house down the street. Never wave back or smile. Very serious looking folk. Beat up cars and large dogs on chains near front door. They never seem to ever leave. Soon after they moved in, every time drive by get a huge RF burst that pegs the 7800. No other homes gave such a signature. XYL thinks they're up to no good. Perhaps. Are there innocent explanations or, more to the point, what could it be if less than legal means. High frequency growing lights? Or?

Please clarify. Are you running an IC-7800 mobile?? COOL!!!

On another note, most RF noise sources have nothing to do with legal vs. illegal activities. That special plant light used to grow your pot will expend the same amount of RF even if used on daisies.

Up here, it's easy to spot the growers' homes. Besides the abnormally high electric bills some local utilities are happy to point out to law enforcement, cops' FLIR thermal imaging cameras cause these homes to light up like Christmas trees! These homes are oh-so easy to spot.

Believe me, LE knows where these operations are today. Of course, LE needs a search warrant to use/admit this technology as potential evidence. ;)

They're growing indoor grass. The RFI is from the mercury vapor lighting. Happens all the time here in Roswell.
