This is confusing to me, FCC site says Khz and this one says Mhz. When the signal changes to digtal does that make it Khz? Some say it will be around 60 meters and other say around 160 meters. I have a VX 6 handheld that has DMR but I can not figure how to use it. I do have two of these radios, maybe one day I will figure out to make both of them compatible. I see this radio had a big (D) to the left of the read out. I signed up, probably will never use it. 73's Robert KQ4PK
So you have put the whole DMR-MARC database in it and have display of callsign of the station you are talking to
Connect Systems CS800D $399. It's dual-band, DMR/analog and has remote head using a standard cat5 cable. Three power levels and it's based on a commercial radio rather than a cheap Baoefeng type rig.
Just because DMR doesn't use callsigns as IDs but digits, that mean nothing for HAM. Yes, I was told about Talker Alias. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So most reliable way to see the callsign on a screen is still to have it in your callbook. Just for convenience.
