Or the Ailunce which makes me think of the French way of pronouncing silence.

What're some of the main differences between their Ailunce HD-1 and this model reviewed here the RT-82? Which one's more 'ham friendly'?

Hi, I can't say since I didn't try the HD1, but they say this model is for ham's, so maybe more friendly. 73 Pascal VA2PV

    Here's a response I got from Retevis:-

"Both RT82 and HD1 used for ham. For HD1, it developed from Ailunce and ham ideas
To feedback all hams support Retevis, Our company special design HD1 radio for ham

The difference HD1 most of functions can operated by manually, power functions and cheaper than RT82"

I am still trying to decipher the message.
