Kinda new here and learning. I had a contact reject my contact request. Is there a reason for this? The contact turned into a good QSO, no issues at all. Is there a reason why a request would be rejected?
QRZ Logbook? If so, then best to post your question here: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/logbook-user-forum But usually it means his information doesn't match yours such as date, time, band, etc.
What @K8VHL said. I have rejected requests due to such reasons but also put the reason in the comments. Usually it is a busted QSO where I didn't get any 73 or other 'roger' that tells me that the QSO was completed. In this case, if it was a completed QSO with 73s on both ends, then the other person may just not accept requests or didn't understand what it was. No worries, things happen with such requests. I very rarely use them. Congrats on getting your General. Much awesomeness! 73
YOUR data has to match THEIR data. That's really all there is to it Make sure you always use UTC time AND date - not local (for either). That's a big cause of rejected confirmations Make sure you didn't space and changed bands but still put down the previous band. I've done that many times myself over the years Is the mode correct? Did you click CW instead of FT8 by a slip of the mouse? All of those details have to line up for a confirmation to happen - not just at QRZ but also LoTW, ClubLOG, HRDLog, etc. Time window is almost universally 30 minutes so your QSO time doesn't have to be absolutely exact - most folks use the start time of the QSO Dave W7UUU
If I have to reject a QSO because of a mismatch, and send the user the reason, are they able to correct the QSO and re-request, or if that contact busted for good?
No they just need to fix their data in the log entry and it will confirm once it matches yours Dave W7UUU
