Get ready to join us in Everett, Washington
The Western Washington DX Club will host the 2024 convention in Everett, WA this year. Join us at the Delta Hotel from August 9 to 11.

    Convention History:
The PNW DX Convention has been held every summer since 1955 with the sponsorship rotating between the major DX clubs of the Pacific Northwest. There was no convention in 2020 because of Covid, and the convention in 2021 had to be done via Zoom for the same reasons.

The 67th Annual Convention was hosted by the Spokane DX Association (sdxa.org), and last year the 68th Annual Convention was hosted by the Orca DX and Contest Club.

Together, these organizations have upheld the rich traditions of amateur radio and the pursuit of DX through five solar cycles. Over the decades, we have enjoyed wonderful friendships and the very special international camaraderie that ham radio fosters in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.

The 2024 convention team is assembling a schedule packed with informative, interesting, and insightful presentations.

N7YD here. I'm the webmaster for the PNWDX Convention website. Just wanted to let everyone know the Early Bird pricing has been extended to July 9, 2024. You have a few extra days to save some cash and get in on the cheaper price. Also, you are planning to reserve a hotel room at the Conference rates, you have until that same day to make your reservation. After July 9, 2024 the unsold rooms in our block will be returned to the hotel. You may still be able to get a room, but it will probably cost more.

So if you are planning to attend and you haven't yet registered, now would be a good time.

Sounds like much fun to be had, I am tempted to sign up, but My DX has been limited meaning I have made a few casual DX contacts over the years using my home brew Hexbeam and a dipole antenna some running high pwr (100 watts) but most QRP 5 watts or less CW mode. I am not a contester, I just enjoy working the bands now and then, fishing, sometimes I catch some sometimes My CQ's go un heard which makes it that much more fun when I do make a contact. As I under stand it most DXing is contesting, they go hand in hand along with VHF. ---- HF is my world I suppose.

I am afraid if I show up I would find myself lost in the world of VHF DX Contesting.
