OK, thanks and much appreciated
How's yer radio working out, Charles? Thanks for the link for new SB-200 front panels. That worked out nicely!
The only thing left is to do on the R-390A is remove the front panel and repaint it. I will post pics in this thread when I get to that part, but as far as everything else goes I use it quite regularly and it working great. Thanks again for your help with the toobes Chris !
Glad to hear the SB 200 black panel is working out. I entirely restored my SB 200 and the powder coated replacement panel made it complete and like brand new again.
The old workhorse now works and looks like a champ.
What kind of 572s are those?
Old pair of Raytheon.
Actually built by Cetron as told by the shoulder top. If they had the round top they are by United Electronics.
Here's a close up photo...
What do you think Carl? ...United or?
Not sure if the boxes tell you anything or not...
Look at what I said above and then look at the tubes again! I have a NIB pair of the same Raytheons plus just about every US branded ones.
And Sue, quit laughin'
Not laughing I made a gaff on the air today...
It was regarding GG amplifier efficiency I said the drive power was part of the input power and would not be subtracted from the total input power.....
It didn't take long for me to pull my foot out of my mouth when someone corrected me...
Yes I knew better but engaged mouth before checking which gear brain was in...
