    Well, Class A and B CB are on UHF. C and D on 11 meters.
    Back then the UHF equipment was out of the affordability range for small businesses and individuals. Hams did not
    make much use of the 11 meter band because it was shared with medical machines that caused quite a bit of noise.
    All y'all remember that medical machines are not required to comply with Part 15. So the FCC put Class C and D CB there as affordable equipment could be made and the rest as they say is history or is it and we're history, well somethin' like that!
