I sometimes think I'm married to old BC rigs, and a woman that lives with me for fun...

Has anyone heard about the McMartin BTA-2.5K coming available soon?
I am aware, but have not seen it announced. Pair of 4-1000s modulating another pair.
Converted through at least 40 meters, maybe 20M as well.
It's the same stompin' footprint as the RA-1000. Not for beginners.

Thank you! My wife, who once worked for Allied Van Lines in her youth, has life-long moving experience. Growing up, her father ran an "antiques" business.

With friends, we've rescued several old AM transmitters.

For ham use it just means it draws more AC power with no added benefit. There are also a lot more Gates parts around.

It originally used 6BG6G's which did meltdown when pushed; that was a cost reduction from prior models. A retrofit kit was issued to return to 807's.

The 807 or 807W will be fine when run sanely
