    We should expect more up and down conditions in the coming weeks. The SFI can easily jump 20 points in an hour! It peaked at 95 (from what I could see) yesterday, the highest in several years.

    Conditions on the WPX contest are good , with 20M opening early in the morning. Much better than a year ago, for example.

    yep... I was amazed to hear/work VK4KW on 21034 khz @ 0330z (2230 local time) today/last night. He was a honest 549 for about 30 minutes here on the Alabama Gulf Coast. - Icom-718 & 80m OCF Dipole up only about 20ft (after Hurricane Sally took down my 80ft Pine Tree)
