Randy later moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee, and worked as a radio DJ while living in Knoxville. Randy then landed a position as a radio DJ at WPLO in Atlanta, Georgia, where he interviewed music legends Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Ray Stephens, Dolly Pardon and many more great artists.
