Yes Manoj it was great time with the police group discussing on Radios & various protocols and practical solutions for them. Sometimes we get audience to take liberty to go outside of our spectrum, hi..hi.. Though everything was according to the need of group, that was for sure!
Amateur & Professionals are just perspective, it just depends how much deep we dive, and we Hams are best known for our craziness, you would agree with me.
Btw you do have great parallel hobbies/activities too, would like to learn something more from you too. If possible do visit our home town during your next visit to VU Land.
    Take care.

Had a look at your QRZ profile Manoj. The cartoon looks like the ones being posted by @VU2LID (@N8LI) regularly on X. Nice to know that you are also on satellites. Recently @VU3CDK found that there is slight overlap between North West tip of VK and Sothern tip of VU in the footprint of SO-50. May be you can keep this in mind during your satellite roving! 73

Nice. I worked in Tamil Nadu Police Radio Branch in Maintenance fron 1982 to 1985. It was a very good experience. Now it is almost 40 years and still remember those HF and VHF sets GH650 and MF833 models made by BEL.

Do you remember VU2JN who used to be active on HF in those days, presuming that you were also a Ham then? 73

Thank you JF1RQ for pointing out this great protocol too. Yeah I know it's existence, some how I have observed that most of Govt. agencies are adopting DMR protocols due to it's non proprietary nature. Though still lot to learn from my side too.
    Thank you

Thanks a lot for introducing a new technology Kazuhiko. Had a look at it at: https://www.yaesu.com/jp/en/wires-x/index.php. How expensive is it and is it freely available globally? I presume that it is stand alone without the need for a radio at all, like using EchoLink on Android phone? Does it require initial authentication with copy of your amateur radio license like EchoLink?

WIRES (Wide-coverage Internet Repeater Enhancement System) is a communication system that uses the Internet to expand the communication area of amateur radio. With WIRES, radio stations (node stations) set up by general amateur radio stations and connected to the Internet act as access points that connect wireless communication to the Internet. User stations can communicate with amateur radio stations around the world using node stations within the reach of radio waves.

Thank you. I am not aware of any node stations in the range of my radio. I have not been able to reach Japanese stations yet with my '100W and Wire' setup.

    Dear Miguel Ferrier,
Thank you so much for your kind words & appreciation.

I believe our best knowledge should be shared during our best period of life, should not delay it! So now Spending much time in promoting Amateur Radio & Satellite communications to school college & universities. I am enjoying presenting all my knowledge, giving practical demos & exhibiting radio stuff remain my common practice since long period. My family hams help me many times or I simply do everything myself alone, never for a moment I get tired for all awareness activities, hi..hi..

BTW you had superb profile page, tons of radio stuff highlighted, initially I mistaken that you are radio distributor, but then realised it's your personal collection at your radio shack! Too good friend, proud to see person so dedicated for his hobby.
Surprisingly I didn't find a single photo of yourself as a operator!
I always extend my invitation to radio hams to visit our great country and my QTH, you are also most welcome, do consider.

    Thank you
