    have not used in years. on am bcst band i get weak but ok signals from chicago on
    620 670 780 but zero on 890 ! and a few above 890. im about 80 miles from chi...
    on a little portable i get stations across the band, AND 890 WLS...!
    some sw bands seem ok.
    im just using an indoor wire, BUT that wire was connected when i transmitted 100 watts
    on a long wire outside. did i blow something?

    1. Capacitors may need 'reforming". Turn it on and let it play. It may improve with hours or over many days. I've had to do the same thing this summer with my 1979 Panasonic AM/FM/SW radio.

    2. Switches may be dirty. Gently work the switches several times.
