The Radio Relay International first quarter 2021 emergency communications exercise is scheduled for April 24. This exercise, which is part of an on-going cycle of emergency communications and training exercises, will emphasize portable operation. A scoring system is used to encourage a diversity of capabilities while rewarding field-expedient solutions, operator skill and overall station performance. The exercise is open to individual radio amateurs, radio clubs, and emergency communications organizations Worldwide. This exercise should be of interest to traffic operators, EmComm volunteers, those who enjoy portable operation, QRP enthusiasts and those with an interest in personal emergency preparedness.
