Well what else would we be called in this modern age of digital radio?
Radio Amateur. That is what we are called. Period.
I'm called "Lid". For having a contrarian outlook in a bumpy trumpy forum.
Nice to meet you!
Im called skid, because i hit the mark.
Hams could be:
hikers, makers, hackers, yakkers,
coders, preppers, talking-smackers,
drivers on a long commute,
contesting on their daily route,
historians with good intent,
millionaires (had they not spent),
ex-CB but saw the light,
now convinced they're surely right,
an up-and-coming appointee
to our beloved FCC,
but that's too much to say, so damn...
guess we'll have to stick with ham.
chuckle out loud
You forgot butcher, baker, and candle stick maker. Back when 2 meters was AM (1967?), I use to talk to a baker. He was always in his bakery and talked while waiting for the bread to rise.
Grumpy old men?
Nah. Sounds like we’re a branch of the BSA.
And there’s already way too much BS around here.
Nice try, but it comes across as a solution in search of a problem.
IBTL. Seems the same "topic" was locked just recently... Just sayin'
