    Do we get to choose?

I'll take the Rack of tubes from the second girl from left.

I have a friend who collects tubes.
    I collect girls.
But not sure what to do with them

"Miss Line-Replaceable Unit" of 1956 and her court!

Be sure to come down to the boardwalk in August for the crowning of the "Thoriated Cathode Queen" . Enjoy the midway and rides!

Years ago at my first Chief Engineer gig, I sent our new engineering/remote broadcast intern to Radio Shack on a parts run. We needed a few resistors, caps, and two Realistic Lifetime fallopian tubes, if they had them in stock.

By chance he ended up asking the female manager who sent a tersely worded note for me back with the purchase of items they did have in stock.

The one on the left appears to be somewhat staged. Looks like the rack is being held up.

Second from the left looks real, real heavy equipment.

Still better than today's crummy broadcast audio..........

Phil stole my photo from my 'Fun Things' thread.

    I'm flattered.

Is there a link to the "real" backstory of the photo?

    Of course. I realize that.

I was looking for the link that explains the situation behind the photo.

Photographs back then were an event - not a "cell phone" thing like today. A photographer using 4x5 film (most likely) was brought it, at some expense, and the ladies were lined up to pose for a series of photos for some event or ad.

That photo was taken for some specific reason regarding publicity - that's what I'm trying to find.
