RAC Will Not Attend Hamvention this Year

    Would it have killed you to post:

    At its meeting on March 27, 2025, the Board of Directors of Radio Amateurs of Canada voted unanimously to cancel RAC’s plans to operate a booth at Hamvention (Dayton) in Xenia, Ohio in May. This decision was not taken lightly and was made with deep regret as our members and volunteers always look forward to attending this significant international event.

    Aarrrgggh!

    A gentle reminder: NOWHERE on QRZ is discussion of politics allowed. There are 10,000 sites out there to do that. QRZ ain't one of 'em.

    So in light of that, there's not much to discuss: RAC isn't attending Hamvention.

    That's all there is to it.

    The bit I posted is neutral, as no reason is given for the canx. They could simply might not have the $$ for travel and currency conversion....

    I simply dislike raw link posting with no explanation or idea of the content (See also Rick Rollin)

    Gary,

    What’s that little town in Washington State that has no land access from the United States? You either drive in from Canada or come in by boat.

    But they do have a ham club!

    I bet the big three Japanese manufacturers show up.
    However Kenwoods only had a small booth for years.
