RVers: As always around the third week of January near Quartzsite Arizona there will be a gathering of a ham radio operators for over a week, we had nearly 1000 hams last year! Everybody does has fun, like flying drones, camping out in their RVs, motorhomes and Tents. We Dry camp and time spent listen to numerous seminars, which occur daily, including a day of off-road Jeep trails and great evening activities. Other activities like gold panning, star gazing, off-grid living and solar panels along with Live music and food, with numerous prizes.
The seminars are superb and done by well-known amateurs throughout the United States, also antenna shootouts, cook-offs, RV antenna walk about and many activities for XYL too.
A small informal swap meet on Saturday the last day
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, is an ARRL Specialty Convention being held January 19 to 25, 2020 near Quartzsite, Arizona in the United States. No other hamfest in the world brings together in one gathering so much innovation in mobile antenna systems, mobile ham shacks, recreational vehicles, portable and mobile EMCOMM systems, off-the-grid living, alternative energy

Had a great time meeting people there last January 2020. Would like to go again, but do not see it happening in 2021. They posted that for 2021 they will not set up the tents and registration, but have an informal gathering, no formal seminars because of the cov19,

Yes, I too am disappointed that the official Quartzfest is being canceled but there will still be a gathering. So come one come all and enjoy time in the desert. I and a few of my friends are planing on being there. It will be just like the old days when a gathering of hams got together in Quartzsite..
    Should be fun, anyway.
