Darn! Revealed again! Pity comes to mind, too...

How 'bout we compromise and let me take my QRP rig out the handbag (yes, I have many, but that's another story...) and feed it into a the biggest antenna I can burn my payday loan on. Best of both worlds.

My shack is functional and needs better organization but works great. I really like seeing other people's shacks because it gives me ideas on how to organize and clean up its appearance and functionality. Some of these shacks are truly amazing and an Iinspiration. Great idea. I won't volunteer my shack for any feature but definitely would like to see some categories for shacks like spanning most efficient, most expensive, most ingenious, etc. like the show Celebrity Cribs that used to be on. Hihi!

This statement is mind-boggling. Are you jealous, or just questioning how someone else spends THEIR money?

To assume everyone takes out a loan to support their hobby(as your later post does) is ludicrous. I'm sure some folks do make purchases on credit, but again, what business of that is yours?

If you want to cobble together QRP rigs for pennies, go for it. Nobody is criticizing you for making such a choice. It's your money and time and if it makes you happy, go for it.

If someone wants to collect quantities of boat anchors, or assemble world class stations like K3LR or W3LPL, that is their passion. Leave them to it. Oh, heaven forbid you might just learn something from someone who passions you don't agree with.

Let me put it another way, if you aren't paying for it, and it doesn't harm you, you would be will served to keep your opinions to yourself.

Very nice organized shack with a nice mix of equipment. I need to get mine which is modest to be organized more like yours. Great job!

I like KG2LI's outfit! Although I enjoy looking at some of the over the top stations, the ops seem like hoarders to me. I'm not saying I am not impressed, and may be it is just a tinge of jealousy since I need to save up for a run of the mill rig, but I would be more interested in seeing how regular ops fit a station into their lives and spaces. I admit I'm on the wrong thread for that. KF7RPI

For a lot of us we get items that are not working and fix / restore them, knowledge can offset cost when working toward having a particular piece of gear. When it comes to my hobbies I prefer not to include the cost of my time because it is fun doing what I do.
