My license has been updated with the FCC for 48 hours now and I do not see it reflected on QRZ. How long does it take before QRZ Is updated to the current FCC database? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ de NK2U
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Forgive me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that the master database from the FCC was downloaded every single day by QRZ. When did this change? de NK2U
QRZ gets an update (not the entire database) from FCC every day, yes, but FCC has some lag time. https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/daily-fcc-log.87/ If you (plural, as I'm sure you singular have already done so) go to FCC site, that has the most current data. Don't know why FCC doesn't send the most current data with each update.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I did just that. The AR license has been updated on the FCC database now since Tuesday. Checking today on QRZ and Tuesday's renewal still does not show.
Yes, that means QRZ has not yet received it. The FCC, not QRZ, controls that process. Patience, Grasshopper, Patience.
Just be patient. QRZ doesn't create the FCC data. Until QRZ receives it via the FCC direct RSS feed, there's nothing we can do to distribute it. Dave W7UUU
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OK, perhaps I do not understand the whole process. This is how I see it. Correct me where I'm wrong. Applicant files for renewal FCC receives renewal FCC Grants renewal Renewal is entered into the FCC data base QRZ downloads it. Or... Applicant files for renewal FCC receives renewal FCC Grants renewal Renewal is entered into the FCC data base FCC creates a new file with all the current licensees. FCC uploads the file to QRZ de NK2U
We will continue to try to help you, but please tell us which of these statements do you not understand. By the way, it has only been 3 business days and, as WJ4U pointed out, the average is 5. What is it that concerns you?
