QRZ.com in Dark Mode

Hi Fred,

My work is with a computer all day. I have a large screen 4K, with several windows opened at same time, covering the whole screen, and I realised this one was the only one with white background, not Dark Mode option available.

It is just an idea, but to place a switch in the main QRZ.com to have the option to get it in dark mode would be good.

Look in the bottom left corner for "Default". Click on it. That is the skin button.

 

Lower left. Style Chooser, select "Dark Shack". Been using it for years.
Note that this is for the forums only, the home page will still be a white background. Also forum posts with styled text using dark colors may be unreadable in Dark Shack mode unless you drag your cursor over the text to highlight it.

 

Most features/navigation get unreadable when you switch to dark mode.
(at least my experience some years ago)

I would love all the QRZ pages to be in Dark Mode. I tend to run my shack in low light and those white pages can be blinding at times. Just about all my devices run in dark mode now. So much easier on the eyes.

All the QRZ pages do run in Dark Mode once selected.

 

Maybe he wants more than the forums to appear in 'Dark Shack' mode, i.e. the rest of the site including the main page. My experience is that it applies to just the forums.

 

Yes. The Main page, my logbook, etc. The forums are the only pages that I can get in Dark Mode.

 

Aha, I thought you were talking about the forums.

 

The dark mode is a feature of the Xenforo forum software, and as such is not available on other areas of the site.
