In our ongoing efforts to support YOU, the ham, QRZ.COM is proud to present yet another useful service to the Amateur Radio community.

The QRZ "Ham Speak" Web Page

If you're relatively new to Amateur Radio, you most certainly have run up against some terms, abbreviations, or acronyms that stumped you. The only thing more frustrating than not knowing the definition of a term is not knowing where to find that definition! A solution to this problem is now available here at QRZ.COM.

(read more to find out why...)

QRZ's new "Ham Speak" web page is a growing dictionary of ham radio terminology that is available to you here at QRZ.COM (http://www.qrz.com/hamspeak.html). Common ham terms, abbreviations, and acronyms are available in alphabetical fashion, along with a brief explanation and (where applicable) a link to another web site for more detailed information.

If you are looking for a particular term and find that it is not included in "Ham Speak", then let us know. We will personally respond to you with a definition, and your term will then be added to the growing "Ham Speak" list of terms. Details for contacting us regarding "Ham Speak" are included in the "Ham Speak" web page.

The QRZ.COM staff thanks you for visiting our web site, and we hope that you find "Ham Speak" to be a useful addition to our content-rich web site.

    73!

    The QRZ Staff
