Who all is planning to operate QRP during this weekend's WES event?
Are there plans to operate portably either QRO or QRP for it?
I have found these events to be fertile ground for sowing QRP signals and getting QSO's...
    So, what say OM?

if things stay open it might be fun. I hear 20 cw jumping right now. If the rest of the weekend has propagation like this it might be ok.

SKCC WES is this weekend 10/12 from 12:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC 10/13...
I plan to be op portably both QRO & QRP(p) with my camping ham pal Larry K8BBQ.
We will op from an RV park after we get set up Saurday AM, rain or shine...
Weekend Sprints are prime time to break out the QRP rig and tail call other WES participants!
Sometimes I get lucky and get a reply to my QRPp CQ!

All the rigs here are CW only and QRP, so any such foray is done with low power from WN1MB. I seldom call CQ, instead playing search and pounce.

Sadly, last night's SKCC SKS was a wash for me, as I had an unrelenting noise level. It finally abated sometime during the wee hours and things are back to normal now. Better luck next month, I guess!

I'm considering operating QRP es QRO WES from either my Mini Motorhome in the bk yard or a tent pitched out on the deck.
I wanna try the new tent overnight with a 20f sleeping bag and a UCO Candelier for 5k BTU of heat. Fri low abt 25f, Sat 32f and Sun 40f...
Cook some soup on the alky stove. Battery powered of course...

Sounds like fun. I have an L.L. Bean 20-degree sleeping bag which I use when tent camping in the Adirondacks each September. It's gotten down to the mid 30s on a few occasions and I've been fine, though a tuque certainly helped. The problem starts when you have to crawl out of the sleeping bag to get dressed. heh!

I'll slumber with just my boots off if I'm in the "mummy"....
Now that I'm a widower I have time to go and do and do crazy stuff like camping out in winter...
The radio will help keep me occupied as long as there's guys awake to QSO with....
The WES weekend is great for that!
