my main antenna is an alpha antenna magnetic loop. it started life as 10-40m, but i got the
80m booster loop today. it also does 60m. it is on a camera tripod.

nice, and simple, too! now i have even more room to get into trouble....

this is the 25w model. for some reason it isn't listed in their offerings, nor is the booster loop (also 25w).
i use an mfj-259c to match.

I have been qrp since the beginning, forty-seven years ago. I started with an HW-7 and I think I have had one of everything at some time. Currently run a Bayou Jumper, SW-40, original 49er, Rockmite, and the Xiegu G-90.

Why do you use a matching device. The antenna should tune to resonance without any external tuner.

because the max loudness is like 1/8 of a turn of the knob and i want to be preee-cise.
    a character flaw, i know.
besides i have the analyser; might as well get my money's worth out of it.
and the Q is kinda sharp.
about the only thing it won't do is check batteries.

    i have many character flaws....

i suppose i could get one of these from gigaparts for $49:

it has no battery. it attaches to the loop and the brighter the light the better the match.
    made by alexloop.
weighs a lot less than the analyser, too!

I have a KX3, but I really only use it when I go camping at Star Parties.

QRP is cool, but it's not really a passion of mine. I'm more about DX than QRP. Now grabbing DX QRP. That's sweet.
