Curious about what power output is per band with your V6. Have seen a lot written about big variations.

The only antenna I have is a 40/20 fan dipole and I get right at 10 W on both bands if my MFJ tuner is telling the truth...

Thanks Justin. There has been a few mods, some easy, and some more involved with correcting the low output on 40M in particular. Mine is very low on 40. I have the parts to do the "big mod" (new transistors and such), just have to put aside a day or so to do it all at once.

I got into QRP HF CW in 1998, after being licensed but inactive for 8 of 10 years.

    QRP I have owned:

    HW-7, HW-8, HW-9
    Norcal 40a, Norcal 20
    OHR 400, OHR 500
    K1, K2, KX1
    Hilltopper 20, Hilltopper 40
    Numerous Pixies, homebrew monobanders

QRP I have now and operate almost daily

    HW-8, Norcal 40, Norcal 20
    Hilltopper 20, Hilltopper 40
    Elecraft K1 4 Bander, K2 QRP

I also run POTA QRP - See https://kb9bvn.blogspot.com

I get right at 10W on 40 with the stock transistors biased at 100 ma/ea. In stock form mine displayed V6.1 but I imagine the .1 was probably a software update.

If I'm QRP I am either running a KD1JV tribander or some simpler homebrew rig. The tribander is an amazing little rig for the price and fun to build.

QRP_80m_SSTV_2.jpeg I build up a MKARS80 Kit. It was a bit strange to solder, but in the end it was worth to do that. For testing if QRP is right for the own needs and to make the first steps in that direction.
