    bought a 703 ( not plus) repack
out of the box it did not work
    sent it back for repairs
got it back, it still did not work
so had to send it back a second time
    now it worked
    loved it
one year later it was dead
sent it back again for repairs
    got it back
ran great for a few years
but now it is not working again

when it's working it is a nice little radio
    but hell
too many IC-706 / IC-706+ radios turned out to be lemons

    Hi Mac

Not only IC706, 746, 7000, 7400 7700, 7800 I have seen many Icoms become member of the defective radio club.

A good freind of me bought a new IC7400 that died 5 times in 2 yrs they geve him a new one for free after 2 yrs.
Just to be safe that he wouldn't kill their buisness with awfull reviews and out of pitty with the poor guy.

But a lot of FT857/897 TS2000 FT991 are frequent club members too hihi.

QRP Corner, is found in Forums.

It is helpful, because the forum Search engine does not turn up QRP, especially if buried deep in a thread.

    Yes, there is overlap. So?

The Forum has overlap and restatement as well throughout the forums, because "old threads" do not get used to continue a discussion.

It is extremely helpful to have searchable labels for Google and others.
