News release From the Radio Amateur Society of Australia RASA. RASA announces the release of QRM.guru This is an innovative web delivered resource that allows amateurs to investigate, identify and hopefully resolve the most common issues that affect the hobby, that is increasing Interference. Chris VK3QB one of the developers of this resource said, “For the first time and in one place, QRM.guru provides a coordinated set of resources and self-help for amateurs to find out about QRM issues and techniques in resolving them.” He continued “QRM.guru is built on a knowledge base platform which is scalable and provides a more effective way to store and search for information. It is interactive in that its further development will require engagement from amateurs who have their own stories to tell and hopefully solutions to interference issues and so the website will continually develop and will be of interest to all amateurs world-wide” The site is accessed by getting on line to QRM.guru/ and clicking “start here”. QRM.guru is a project of RASA and has been designed as a free resource for all, in the spirit that is Amateur Radio. Please send questions or feedback to feedback@qrm.guru.
If QRM.guru identifies my source of QRM...I WILL FREAK OUT! On 2nd thought, 5 and 8 year old grandkids do make quite the impression so...
Probably gives you an idea of how good a reference source when they don't know what the correct term is... Trent VK4TS
Typical ARSA self serving promotion. Only problem this time is you guys don't know your Q Code yet you try and position yourselves as some type of authority on AR. God help AMC.
If you knew the people behind this stuff you wouldn't be surprised. They create a lot of obstructive QRM .
ASAR advise the Australian Communications and Media Authority's appointed amateur radio examining and callsign management contractor, the Australian Maritime College, on all things to do with assessing competency to hold an AR licence, yet demonstrably don't know the Q Code. Go figure.
Don't have to know what your doing to build a website, that any idiot can do, you need to understand the Q codes to make the information provided intelligent and this is basically ALL QRN and is so far from being QRM to end up being a whole load of DQRM which only confuses those who are new to the hobby. To bad so much effort couldn't be used with knowledge and experience behind it.
