I have never seen an antenna running 3 feet above the ground work, so it's good that you brought another antenna!
You might look at getting something like a 32ft jackite pole. Many very easy ways to set it up. I use one ground stake, slide the jackite pole over the ground stake and you are good to go. No trees needed. Keep having fun!
