A build I started at work yesterday. A PLC to collect data with. This is just an arrangement tryout, the final arrangement will probably be a bit different.

A late-season visitor. Had to take the feeder down for a while because of bees, but once it went back up the wee ones wasted no time reacquainting themselves with it.
The wife and I out today with our daughter having a great time taking photos for an up coming project.

My daughter's dog got killed by a snake in our backyard a while back, & I'm still feeling guilty that I let the yard get so overgrown.
The snake died, too, punctured over & over by razor sharp teeth.
One consolation is that the Dugite's poison doesn't cause an agonising death, just lethargy, & finally paralysis.
I have eye witness evidence of that, as my Mum was bitten by one when I was a kid.
Luckily, my big sister was home, & did the required first aid, so she survived OK, but Mum got a pretty decent dose, & described the symptoms as above.

Normally our visitors have left NC by mid-September....but we're still seeing several even today so we will leave the feeders up for the late-journey hummingbirds.
