Possible misuse of callsign

    running a wanted add for a PX3 and came across this email. Looks very suspicious.

    A PX3 is not that cheap.

    If he contacted you directly, outside of qrz, I would be extremely suspicious.

    Follow WR2E's advice and tread carefully because the email is written in 'scammer lingo'. Could be legitimate IF the email came from his QRZ listed email address. That is the correct 'phone number for John Edward "Eddie" and Wilma O Palmer. The email on his callsign page is correct. Except he should be back in Kingsport, Tn now. Might be worth a 'phone call.

    I sent John an email to his QRZ address for a response. I figured this was a scam.

    I think the first dead giveaway for me was the formatting. This email’s subject line was before any of the text.

    I talked to him yesterday and it was a legitimate email. very weird why it did not show his correct email. issue solved
