You on the other hand by your own words, really believe you are better then everyone here. I owe you no kind of apology. You owe Fred the apology Albert. I guarantee you wouldn't have made that comment to his face, but you can hide behind the internet and throw out that kind of trash without any real fear of reprisal.

Has anyone not noticed.. That you do not NEED the Political Forums to have hate and discontent... Its is all over the place at the ZED... It just seems hypocritical to band one forum when they ALL suffer the same affliction...

He did speak very poorly of most of his customers... For one to make such a statement.. QRZ must be doing very well if a BUSINESS can afford to piss off its customers... And yes he makes a living off QRZ... Many years (maybe 10yrs ) ago when he played with the idea of selling it... He stated his Monthly profit at that time was in excess of $5k... A meager living...I must say..

No threat. just an observation of a little man full of empty words. The only one acting like a child is you Albert. Fred took away your little playground and now your throwing a tantrum. Ace you are the hypocrite and you and everyone else here knows it. You are the one who made a personal attack on all who disagreed with your view and a very personal attack on Fred, but I guess in your mind it wasn't really an attack at all. And please stop trying to make this into a huge First Amendment issue, because it's not. It's a private website and has nothing to do with the First Amendment. It just makes you look more ridiculous.

 

And actually, Albert can't be a "Salinger". Pierre actually followed through on his words. He moved to France after he said he would, and died there.

I think that would qualify as pointing to a First Amendment issue, but this is your fantasy, so maybe you think it's something else.

 

A possible solution acceptable by all would be one similar to what www.fiero.nl
(a car forum) came up with. It has the additional benefit of taking most of the load off of the moderators.

The forum is largely Self-Policed (sort of like Amateur Radio is supposed to be) Posters have a ratings bar that is displayed after a certain number of ratings are received by other members , and there are a bunch of parameters that govern things such as when you can rate someone else, IIRC it's a certain number of posts yourself over a specified amount of time. Once a poster receives a preponderance of red on their bar (it's displayed for all to see on every post) and hits the predetermined ratio of red to green, they are banned. There is also an accelerated banning for posters that get a bunch of negs in a short time after joining.

If you get banned it's because you were voted out by a lot of members that determined you were a detriment to the forum and it's impartial and consistent because it follows simple mathematical formulas to determine when you have reached that point.
