I am hoping to put this antenna up for use on 2M, but would like a good starting point. Who was the manufacturer? The overall length (four sections) is about ten feet; phasing stub is about ten inches max.

That could be for 20 meters given the radiator length, size of the matching coil, and meandering feedpoint lead.

10 ft suggests a quarter wave 11 meter antenna.

    What is the "phasing stub?"

Can you post a picture of the entire antenna and not just the bottom?

Yeah,I'd vote for 11 meter antenna too, based on size and matching coil. Can we see the rest of this thing?

I'd want to see the whole antenna.

Looks like a modified Cushcraft Ringo where someone removed the tapped ring and used a tapped coil insitead.

The 2m "Ringo Ranger" is 10' tall and has a phasing stub midway up the radiator to put the upper and lower elements in phase; the "bottom" looks like what's pictured except its matching device is a tapped ring, not a tapped little coil as shown; however what is shown may be something like a 2m Ringo Ranger someone modified.

It may be a modified Ringo, but if so, it looks like someone went through a great deal of trouble to fabricate the purpose-built weather boot.

I saw an MFJ antenna in the classified ads that is 10ft.

Sense you have the ant why not test it and let us know?
    Looks pretty solid.
