with FT8 being so popular is there any way to add it to the quick mode tab? Its takes time to hunt for.
Considering that FT8 contacts are mostly logged automatically, why have a quick-pick. Set up a logger. Grid mapper is a good option.
how are they logged automatically? They don't just show up in my log I have to add them. Changing back from 10 meter 2 meter or whatever.
If you are using WSJT-X, whenever your complete a contact a box pops up to log the contact. At least it does on my system.
Jake, I use GridTracker2 to log all me FT8 contacts. When WSJT-X Log Contact box pops up, it passes all the QSO to GridTracker2 where it will go to QRZ, LoTW and eQSL. I used to log them from WSJT-X but quickly found GT. Go to https://gridtracker.org/ Hit the tab for downloads and get what's right for your computer. There is another one that a lot of hams like that's called JTAlert. But I do like GT.
