You can believe what you want to believe......even though it's wrong. ;-0

In other words, you're telling me to SHUT UP.

Who are YOU to tell others in forum to SHUT UP?

Why does what I post bother you so much?

    But that's the message.

I have encountered folks who use various tricks to tell others to SHUT UP in online forums without actually using those words.

    Why not?

    That's why I posted.

    OK, no prob.

My Take on QRM vs QRN
I have guys on 40 or 80M in a QSO, not so far away, and they say they have "QRM" and can't cpy all, I have a good antenna and the rig has an exceptional receiver and I hear NOBODY transmitting anywhere near our frreq>>Then the guy gives me a CLUE, he says the "QRM" is on all day and night at S9.
WELL it is REALLY QRN from a bad power line and not interfering Amateur station signals !!!!
QRM= Man with a radio transmitter
QRN = Noise from Nature, lightning or Nonintentional emitters like power lines or sparking motors.

According to the ARRL QRM means "Your transmission is being interfered with" (no distinction if the interference is natural or man-made) and QRN means "I am troubled by static" (nothing necessarily wrong with the transmission). SOURCE: http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Get on the Air/Comm w Other Hams-Q Signals.pdf

What's the SOURCE of your information Jim?

    The same ARRL publications.

"Being interfered with" means "by other stations"
"Atmospherics" or "Static" means "electrical noise"

AGN, AGN......where is the link to your source? If you are going to hold other people's feet to the fire for not providing a source (a LINK, not hearsay), you better hold yourself to the same standard.
