    woohoo i pass my gen on march 17,2007 it took me 5 year of trying so hard to get my gen it's finally pays off.

    Congrats to you... way to go.
    I remember back in the 70's that upgrading from novice to technician was to pass the gen written test, if I'm correct, which I did, but didn't quite make it to gen due to the 13wpm code requirement.
    I'm going the same route soon, without the code, but many of the questions involve new technology, so it's catch-up time, as I've been offline 30 years.
