    Hello Fellow Hams,

I just acquired a TNC-X used and I'm currently playing with it using YAAC, I would like to set up a BBS to see how that works as well as connect to nodes serving a BBS and other features.

I would like some assistance on what software to use and what other features I can try. Would appreciate any and all tips and guidance

Linux, MAc OSX and Windows 7 (VMS)

Hello and welcome to the packet mode. With all the newer sound card digital modes packet has been forrgotten by many former users, and never explored by newer hams. It's a great mode and I'm on it daily on HF and VHF, although VHF users are pretty scarce in these parts. But HF particularly 20 meters on 14.105 is quite active.

When it come to packet, "how to" is a big topic. I would rather point to you a YouTube play list with comprehensive info:

Good luck and hope to see you on packet soon.
