Opening of the New Collins Radio Center

Dr. Dave, W3ST writes "The official opening of the new Collins Radio Center/Comm Center is slated for the weekend of the November 11-12th. First time visitors will be receiving a Collins related door prize.



Although there will still be some late minute items yet to be completed, the "punch list" is nearly complete on all work items. The carpeting is being laid this week with the radio equipment being moved from its temporary location to the new Center, hopefully, this weekend, if it does not rain. Just moving the radios will take several days, at least!



Please keep that weekend free to spend some time with us. Both Saturday and Sunday will be open house with refreshments being served. Let's hope that the weather cooperates. If you want to spend the night, I am sure that we can find space for you to stay over.



More information on the opening date (November 11-12) next week.



For those who wish to attend, I will email you explicit directions from the Johnstown, PA area, if requested, since some of you have been out to visit us and know where the site location is.
