Finished constructing loaded coil dipole for 80m, basically an upgrade of 20m inverted V. Wonder on which band it resonated initially without any tuning effort? Continuation of previous video: "Building 80m Inverted V Antenna for Restricted Space VU2XTO Design - 2 "

You could also mention your blind guess below, without watching the video!

I have a similar loaded antenna for 80m. One half is strung like a standard dipole and the other half like an inverted Vee. It has narrow bandwidth on 80m, as you might expect. I can tune it reasonably well on 30m, 17m, and 12m.

Thank you for the information. My antenna did not work on 80m as the coils were having only about 52 microhenry inductance on calculation as against the needed 118 microhenries. Waiting for an LCR meter to double check and then modify the antenna to work on 80m. Glad to know that your antenna works on higher bands as well. 73

You're welcome. I took the easy way out and ordered the ready-made loaded dipoles from a company here in the USA. Congratulations for doing the hard work yourself! That's the spirit of amateur radio.

In my business travels I never made it all the way to Kerala. I did get to Karnataka. Best wishes for 2025.
