So lucky to be alive. The three ladies decide to get out and walk.

Wow. Thanks for that. I don't think I've seen a Wig Wag since I was a kid in the 1950s. I think they were gone from my hometown in northern Wisconsin by the time our last steam locomotive (the MIGHTY O'Malley) was retired as a local and yard locomotive.

My wife and I recently spent about 24 hours on a sleeper train in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. Mostly we saw a lot dark sky and smoke from the many forest fires -- but the rest was beautiful. There aren't a lot of railroad crossings (or roads) in that part of the world. I didn't see any Wig Wags on the trip.

    Hello Eric,

I think almost all of the Wig Wag Train Warning Lights have been removed from the Wisconsin Central RR crossings when they were bought out by the Canadian National RR. I could only find one crossing that still had the Wig Wag Train Warning Lights and for the most part the General Public ignored the lights even with Freight engines being 100' from the crossing -- one could consider these people being very Stupid just because they were impatient or late.
