No one here knows watta 'personal windshield survey' is... doesn't show up on a google search. Perhaps you mean a 'selection biased anecdotal survey'-- that does not require a car driving around by an individual....

Can we use less jargon, or more commonly-known jargon, please?

Don't see the 'value added'....must be a 'barrier to entry' to have a 'lit' discussion on 'sustaining innovations' that 'get the job done'...

You can now collect your Harvard MBA ;-)

The keyword from the statement was 'desktop'. At my workplace, desktop PCs have nearly disappeared. Laptop and a docking station is the standard setup now.

It seems clear that you understood what my phrasing meant. Your terminology is a painful contortion of great proportion. And, I do not think that you know what “everyone here” does not understand. But you’re cute with “watts,” aren’t you?

Nope. Sure didn't. I had to go to google to figure out what you meant.

    This ...now THIS--is classic:

"Your terminology is a painful contortion of great proportion."

    That's....S--I-I-I-I-I-C--K !

    https://www.dictionary.com/browse/personal-computer
    personal computer

    noun
a compact computer that uses a microprocessor and is designed for individual use, as by a person in an office or at home or school, for such applications as word processing, data management, financial analysis, or computer games. Abbreviation: PC

PC means Personal Computer, does it not?

So if it is in desktop, laptop, or tablet form it is still a PC.

Odd how you claim everyone else is wrong, when you in fact are wrong. It seems you frequently misconstrue posting context and terms used in a posting. You are really starting to discredit yourself here on QRZ.

    "So who is ridiculous now?"

if you’re referring to me, what CEO? Howard? No, I do not speak “for” him. Why would you say that?
