[QUOTE=" I found myself pretty often ignoring stations that are not registered in LoTW. I have already got some few unconfirmed territories that I'm still cannot work again to confirm so what's the sense of spending time and effort in a pileup if the DX will never confirm?

    Never mind.[/QUOTE]
Well just because you have those territory your activity denies other the same result, if we all did that we would have no confirmed contact at all.
I am not registered on LoTW in fact asked to be removed as its an abortion and over the top system been part of the problem, I guess that you will never reach my log as a contact then. :)

    That's not an unusual percentage.
PRO TIP - not everyone using QRZ uses the Logbook.
By the by - in case you're not aware - every US ham is registered automatically via the FCC database. They may not even know about qrz.com much less the Logbook feature. Keep that in perspective.

It's still voluntary so never mind.

Missed thar earlier. Disagree. US operators, generally speaking, are all good. Since America is big there is a place for not-so-good people as well but I would not judge all America on them. My two cents, sure.

I choose to confirm all contacts via QRZ and EQSL.
For me it is the final act of a qso.
With the advent of the internet it costs you nothing but
a few extra moments to confirm a contact.
Why so many choose not too is a question only they can answer.
To this day I still have shoe boxes filled with qsl cards from around
the world. As a young ham I eagerly looked forward to the mail man
coming in hopes of qsl cards being placed in the mail box.
I always tell operators I will log into QRZ and EQSL and hope they
can confirm, but my percentage is less than 40%.

It's been pointed out a few times already, but it bears repeating: not everyone keeps a log and of those who do, not all of them use the same logging / awards system...

My confirmation rate is almost 50% with a bit less than 70k records here and on LOTW. I gave up on eQSL for the reasons already pointed out: that being the eQSL system is too easy to spoof.

The reasons for all the double blind QSL systems goes back years when some folks decided to game the system to get awards that they had not actually qualified for. This was way back before computers and was all done the hard way but the folks involved still tried and failed to work around the systems in place at the time. That is why we now have the double blind systems in place.

This was all for ARRL awards, mostly because at the time, USA was the big dog in the ham radio world and our awards were supposedly the best ones to get. That may still be the case, which is proven by your efforts to achieve what are mostly USA-centric awards here on QRZ. Why not try for Australian awards if you believe that USA hams are the worst? Surely there must be some sponsored by someone down under?

Thank you good idea, a reason to stop subscribing to QRZ as it seems to be a USA only service (According to you)

LoTW is very popular now. It would probably be a good idea to get set up with LoTW. That way you can import your confirmations from LoTW and get credit for QRZ awards.

    I use QRZed.

It's so stupid easy that I can't believe that so many hams don't use it. It literally takes about 10 seconds to log in a call, maybe 20 if you fill in all details, and it confirms the contact automatically. And its really an attractive looking format. I love to look it at it at the end of day. However, I don't like to see all the unconfirmed calls that come back. That's a bit of a downer after a good day making QSO's.

I just went through all of the trouble to sign up for LoTW, but man, it looks antiquated in comparison. Not to mention it's a real PITA to get set up, especially in comparison to QRZ'ed. The procedure to getting signed up has been such a turn off, I'm not sure I'll ever actually use it.

So yeah, I sort of share the OPs frustration, but I see no difference between American and non American operators, they're all equally bad at conforming in my experiences.

Logbook of The World (LoTW) is probably the best online logging system that exists - https://lotw.arrl.org/lotwuser/default
It gives you credit for the awards that really matter, i.e. DXCC, WAS, etc. That is something that no other online logbook can do. It is also extremely secure, unlike eQSL which allows fake and dupe QSLs, and begs for money every time you log in. :)
