    Best advice is if you don't know what you're doing when working around High voltages--don't do it and let an experienced expert in repairs correct the issue.

    Some, I would guess. I would guess most come from people who get in a hurry, or, probably even moreso, become nonchalant about working around lethal voltages.

    Alpha RF Systems, http://www.alpharfsystems.com/, will service these units, I believe.
    The 8410 is still a current model and are currently for sale on their website.
    The same goes with the Alpha 9500.
    The Owner of TenTec is heavily invested in Alpha RF Systems, or owns it outright.
    His printed circuit board and wave soldering production facility in Tennessee is making the circuit boards for TenTec commercial receivers as well as these amps as far as I know.
