    I thought I was doing good :D I'd never seen him before, and things have been pretty 'interesting' on the upper WARC bands lately. I have a pretty basic station too.

    Old Sol is like that. I see people saying that VK9MA shows up at +3dB on this band or that band. I'm still to see them once, never mind complete a QSO.

    15 seems to open on contest weekends, but that may be superstition. 5 years it would be cake. I check out 15 occasionally, hit or miss. In 2012 & 2013, the majority on my contacts were 10 & 15 ssb. I avoided 80, 40 & 20 like the plague, bitter old men railing against the future. Thank God for digital.

    I'll be glad when this FT8 fad becomes boring, and blows over.

    It's really making the whole concept of some awards rather less impressive.
