DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST). Did you remember to change your clocks?
Countries in the Northern Hemisphere (most of N. American and some of
the Caribbean) who observe Daylight Saving Time should have changed their
clocks on Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 AM, and should have moved their "local
clocks" forward 1 hour to 3:00:00 AM local time. Daylight Saving Time
will end on Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 AM. European countries will
switch to DST on March 25th. For the history and details about DST,
as well as an interesting map of the world (showing the countries who
    observe DST), see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time
    http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/2018.html
ADDED NOTES: Hopefully, all amateur radio operators know not to change
their GMT/UTC/ZULU clocks. However, since most operators usually set their
computers to local time, some may have to change their settings on "some"
ham radio software (ex. logging, propagation, DXTelnet, etc..) programs.

ED9, CEUTA AND MELILLA. Members of the Amateur Radio Union of Ceuta will
be active as ED9E during the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March 24-25th) as a
Multi-Op entry. QSL via EA9ACD direct only.

once again operate from Pointe Milou, St. Barthelemy Island (NA-146, Grid
Square FK87), between October 17-26th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters
using CW, SSB and RTTY, with satellite operations by WD0E. Conditions
may largely limit most activity to 20 meters and down. Operating 160 meters
is being considered, however, no antenna option is yet finalized. Satellite
operation will take place on several satellites. A satellite and pass
schedule will be announced on the AMSAT-bb in advance. Equipment includes
three Elecraft K3's and two 500 watt Elecraft amps. Antennas include a
SteppIR crank IR vertical for 80-10 meters, a folding hexbeam by Folding
Antennas (Germany) on 20-10 meters, LPDA's on 20 and 17 meters and verticals
on 30 and 40 meters. Operation will be as continuous as conditions warrant.
The Colorado operators have decided to use FJ/N0KV as their callsign while
AI5P will be active as FJ/AI5P. FJ/N0KV logs will be updated to LoTW while
Rick's logs (FJ/AI5P) will not since he continues to be an analog guy with
an actual key and pen/paper log. Paper QSLs will be available from both
    N0KV and AI5P direct and via the Bureau. All U.S. addressees send SASE;
addressees outside the US should send SAE plus 2 USDs for return postage.
Use of ClubLog is not anticipated. Further information will be published
    as the trip approaches.
Further Satellite Info (by Jim/WD0E)[edited]: "For satellite operation,
we plan to be on as many passes of as many satellites as possible focusing
on the evening hours. Equipment will be an IC 910 and Arrow. On Montserrat
in 2015, we were on FO-29 only. For St. Barts, we will also operate some
FM satellites. We will assemble a pass plan before we go and post it to
the AMSAT-bb. We will stick to that plan as much as possible, but of
course conditions may cause us adjust on the fly. The operating location
has good visibility to the horizon from about the NW through N and E to
the SE. Other directions are somewhat obscured. QSLs handled as written
    above."

REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE <http://www.bandconditions.com>:
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual
(REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for
Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of
benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets
and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre-
dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a
new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry"
which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.
