Better read the commnet from one of the DTV lobbies, Association for Maximun Television Service. They want all of channels 2-7 notched because DTV signals are much more sensitive to interference from the broadband noise BPL will present than analog signals.
There are a lot of powerful and respected interests coming out with arguments against BPL as presently proposed. One can only hope that the negative commnets by these organisations and businesses cause the FCC to look more carefully into the realities of this monster before it is too late.
The comment from an amateur in Cedar Rapids, Iowa who complained about interference and was told by the BPL provider that because emissions met the FCC Part 15 limits, they did not have to do anything further shows the problems licensed users are going to face.
This is not going to be pretty folks.
Maybe it will take some of these hi profile companies and orginazations filing law suits against BPL and the FCC.
If enough of these companies speak out on BPL and the FCC turns a blind eye and a deaf ear then it leaves them no recourse.
The FCC has to see the monster there letting out of the cage. All these people speaking out can't be wrong in there assertion. Its a matter of time before one of these companies or orginazitions feels there spectrum threatned and files.
Lets hope this is not the direction there heading but it may be the only way to head off the polution that is coming to a neighborhood near you.
Do not forget to write your anti-BPL letters,
encourage new amateur radio participation and generally be nice
to one another. That is all.
