Norman George Hinkle was born on April 13, 1922, in Reading, PA to Alvin and Miriam (Deiner) Hinkle. After High school he attended Bliss Electrical School.
He was a Sargent in the Army Radar Core during WWII, from 1942 - 1945. During his time in the service, he was in Southern France, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and received the WWII Victory Medal.
