    Not real Nixie tubes, I suspect. Likely a smart-watch with a video of Nixie tubes.

    i once worked at a place that had a large 4-function, 8 digit calculator that used nixie tubes.
    it took only a few secondes for me to become nauseated looking at the different
    distances at the same time.

    yep! for a real E ticket ride, the Wang calculators had a square root key, that used the display and memory for intermediate results, took a few seconds, all the digits going nuts... wooo!

    Might has been hard not staring at these mad nixies, likewise the wrist watch, can you not look at it more than needed? as to cyberpunk, could have been deeper into concept, e.g. watch powered by a Thorium reactor for a whole century, liberating infinitesimal quantities of Polonium, never know, when one's need some.

    Heh. We had 2 H-P frequency counters at work -- one had numbered columns of neon bulbs, the other Nixie tubes. Darn near took two men and a boy to move it.
