I really want to get set up with a logging program. I have both a Icom 7300 in the shack and use a FT991A for remote operations. I am looking for a program that runs on an Apple laptop and is easier to start using rather than every bell and whistle you can imagine as a starting point.
Thank you all in advance for the put

    I like Aether.

I don't think it has as many features as Maclogger DX, but it's less than half the price and enjoys great support from its developer.

I don't do contests so my logging needs aren't very sophisticated, but this has done all I ever asked and more.

My Opinion after having used many of them, is to just use the free QRZ logging.

The best part it's web-enabled/ you can use it anywhere / they also have an app

Everything's completely downloadable/ you can keep track of Awards/ you can convert it to Log book in the world or most anything you want
It's always their stable as can be no problems/ if your computer crashes you haven't lost anything.
I've been through log book hell/
QRZ works and did I mention that was free. Don't worry Fred has fabulous backup servers too.

    Also check

With call looks ups and then you can immediately log it / Why would you need anything else?

The best logging program is when it fits to your needs.
    Are you interested in:
    • Contests?
    • Awards (DXCC, WAS, IOTA, ...)?
    • QSLing (Label printing, direct or bureau QSLing)?
    • LoTW?
    • eQSL?
    • Club Log?
    • Station Integration (trx control, rotor control)?
    • Support for digital modes?
    • Satellite operation?
    • Portable operation (SOTA, COTA, POTA,...)?
    • Log availability on iPad/iPhone?
    • ...

Where and how do I get set up with the QRZ logging program?? I have searched the site and cannot seem to locate this.
At this point I am just looking to log contacts. Not in to contesting yet but I am very interested in DX.

I must have missed the QRZ log feature that interfaces your radio the the log ... Think of all those unnecessary keystrokes saved.

I guess I'm surprised that interface hasn't been done yet.
