Announcing the start of the Sacramento Valley/Foothill 440 HT net this Friday July 30th at 7pm on W6KAP repeater 440.450 + 5 MHz PL 127.3. The purpose of the net is to demonstrate the effectiveness of HT communication on 440 and that 440 is still alive and well and usable in the Sac Valley. So dust off your 440 or dual band HT, program in the W6KAP repeater, and see what your 440 HT can do. We'll start with HTs on high power but also see what low power can do. We'll be interested in what HT you are using and how different antennas perform. Ernie W6KAP
