Hahaha. I am in extreme Northern Maine. (FN57ti), so I know all about that, HOWEVER we DO have special WEATHER activation awards! LOL Check out the awards page.

Agreed. Mine's also an ND, that's pretty "tricked out". I've added the 300 Hz CW filter, SotaBeams mic compressor, Z-817 tuner, and the mounting cage. I originally bought it for satellite operation, but found I was using it on HF much more. It was my main QRP rig until I got my Argonaut VI.

Well if there is anything you see on the site that could improve, bugs, etc. please let me know.

Now get out there and have FUN with that fancy rig! LOL

Make sure you check your spam folder as well if you don't see it right away.

The main reason I play radio is to get away from the screens and digital debris. I like that it's just me and the radio, tuning the dial and listening for other stations.
I don't log or QSL. I just talk to people. No numbers, no awards, no formats or emails.

    NAKED RADIO-freedom from the hive!

Well like I always say, to each their own. You like serious old school, and that's absoltely fine.

However, that being said, back in the days (about 43 years ago) when HAMs operated with the equipment you are speaking of, Logging was mandatory by the FCC.

IF you are after the full-on retro method, you should be keeping paper logs. :)

2m and 70cm should be qualify too, when its a special contact which got confirmed. Maybe a SSTV with 5 Watt and a distance over 500 km can be something like that. Not often, but it happens here and there.

    Hi D01fer,

We have actually implemented it. We have taken the feedback from everone here as well as another post we put elsewhere, and implemented it all.

The best way to see what we have and offer is to take a look at the website and sign up! :)

Unfortunately, as soon as you add awards, it becomes a contest for some.

Possibly, however I am hoping there are enough that will just do it for the fun of it because the barriers of other OTA programs have been removed.

It works fine for me at home. Oddly, my employer doesn't really filter very much, although they do enforce secure sites.

As long as it got you in, that's all that matters. :) Enjoy.
