New MacBook Pro --- 13 or 16" model?

    Lately I've been going for smallest lightest MacBook/iPad available with power I need.

    For my ham shack computer I've opted for a Windows desk top unit with large monitor. I've seen lots of guys utilizing dual monitors. Shack is the only place I need large screens.

    True--I remember the switchover to/from PowerPC.

    That's good to know about the 8-year limit. My MacMini (early 2012) croaked last year and I replaced it with a 2018 model; the 2012 one wouldn't be able to run the next OS.

    Android has a six-year lifecycle; I don't recollect what Windows' is. Speaking of which, I'm pleased running VMWare's Fusion on my Mac for the rare occasion I need Windows. I've used Parallels as well, but Fusion--at least in my use--has a noticeable speed edge.
